The Sabbath Experiment starts July 26th and we encourage you to journey with us. Here is the best way to participate.

1. Identify your day of rest.

Biblically speaking rest takes place from Friday evening to Saturday evening. But we also know that life looks drastically different for each person so we encourage you to choose your day of rest.

2. Prepare for your day of rest

The day or days before your day of Sabbath prepare your heart mind, and space to rest. Do your chores, buy groceries, complete any necessary tasks so that when Sabbath comes you can truly rest.

Celebrate your day of rest

On the day of Sabbath celebrate God. Thank Him for giving the opportunity to experience rest. Have dinner with your family, sit quietly and bask in the glory of all He has created. There are so many things that you can do as long as you do it in the spirit of celebration.

Continue to observe Sabbath

Continue to choose a day to rest. For it to be an experiment you have to try it a few times. Invite your family or household to celebrate the Sabbath with you. It may feel unusual in the beginning but each time you do this we believe you will tap into the unforced rhythms of grace God has for us. 

Preparing For Sabbath

The month of June we will take time to intentionally prepare for Sabbath. The Bible will serve as our main and primary source . The Sabbath Experiment is a book we will use in addition to the Word of God. All  who desires to participate in the Sabbath Experiment or learn more about the Sabbath are encouraged to purchase The Sabbath Experiment.
